The system has been up for many years and has provided power to offset my electric bill maintenance free. The only thing I do is wash it once a year.

PV system can be installed on your roof or ground mount. They are interconnected to your existing meter can through an interconnection agreement you have with the power company. Generally you sell all the power you produce back to the power company, this is what offsets your electrical bill.

Typically the PV system is insured as part of the building because it is mounted to it as part of a system.

PV systems generally have a 20 to 25 year warranty with many of them lasting 40 to 50 years.
